Crazy Times

The stomach bug. I know it's running rampant across the country and the past few weeks it was our turn. Life is usually busy with a family of 6. If you add on Brinley's little "extras" this is truly a hopping house! Well, all six of us had our turn with this bug with varying degrees of fever, vomiting and such. It was crazy. Cleaning up after it was lovely. That being said there were a few great things about the past few weeks as well.....I give you

Cutest baby ever

She loves books!
(Her SEIT therapist started her with a book that had mirrors
on every page, transitioned to touch/feel books and now loves them all!)

This little punk was reaching for Aunt Liv and kicking me until I handed her over ;)
She also enjoyed whacking her littlest cousin whom we cannot wait to meet!

Brin is going to be as big as GG soon
(This was also her St Patty's day outfit. My lil leprechaun)

Sarah's in heaven, surrounded by babies

Aubs was tasting Brin's saliva- now that is love!

Cousin time with Uncle Dan

Cailyn lost her first tooth

Snug as a bug in a rug

First mani, thanks to Nurse J

All 4 of my girls playing together <3

Peter and I got away together- two nights, three days!
Cornerstone Victorian B&B, highly recommended

Prayer points-
*Continued mouth/tongue growth, development, strengthening. We are seeing more something in there these days so miss B's hard work is paying off! We are trying to "paci break" her (have it on more than it's of) so that she realizes her voice belongs to her. Hopefully this will help her start to verbalize.
*Now that she's sitting up we're starting to work on transition positions to work our way to crawling.
*Health! It has been a long, cold winter and I think we are all sick of being sick!
*I finally got an appointment scheduled for the ophthalmologist. The eye movements are still going on, though less often. Brinley does have a bit of a lazy eye so we think that isn't helping anything. Please pray for a complete healing of the neural pathways, muscles, etc.

Thank you all for your prayers and love. We are excited to thank you and celebrate the life of our miracle baby on May 2! Here is the party information once again. We have started getting RSVP's but would love to hear from more of you. Please spread the word and feel welcome!

When: Saturday, May 2, 2015 from 2-5pm
Where: Delmar Full Gospel Church
282 Elsmere Ave, Delmar, NY 12054
RSVP: Feel free to stop by even if you do not RSVP but if you could, I will be able to plan appropriately (sarajofina@gmail.com). Just give me a number of people attending.

If you are reading this, you are invited. If you know someone who has been praying for us, they are invited. If you are a therapist, Dr, nurse, etc and have worked with Brinley you are invited! We are going with an open house format for the party. Appetizers and desserts will be served. Please note "Happy Birthday" will occur at or around 3:30pm. Weather permitting we will have some lawn games and such as well.

We have already had a few people asking about gift ideas for Brinley's big day. As per Brin's physical therapists suggestion we have started saving towards a swingset for the backyard. Quite frankly this is something we would all benefit from, but I can't wait to see Brin in a swing and sliding down a slide- how fun! If you are interested in chipping in that would be great. Donations to our local NICU would also be appreciated if you prefer.

You Are Invited!

Can you even believe that "little Brin" is already 10 months old?! It has been quite a year and we could not have done it as well without all of your prayers, love, and practical support. We want to show all of you our appreciation and celebrate the life of Brinley, so what better way than to PARTY!

So, how is Brinley doing? Awesome! She has hit the 22 lb mark so if secretion management becomes a problem again botox is now an option. She is starting to "remember" that she has feet and can stand on them, so that is good. She is really starting to get faster with her reaction time and that makes it easier for her to play and interact with people too. She is such a joy!

This past week Brinley's physical therapist was on vacation so we used that time slot to go to a mommy and me music class (check out Redemption Dance Institute if you are interested). I think banging on the drum was her favorite, though she did get into dancing to "Who Let the Dogs Out" as well. Talk about a throw-back!

Oh, you know, just melting Nea-Nea's heart (this is Brin's special ed therapist)

Just one of the grandbabies now (she's starting to be a total attention hog!)

Can you tell who is boss?

The slide is even part of PT

Raina holding Brin's hand during her monthly RSV shot. Alessa licking her?

 Little girl. Big bed

Brinley came with mommy to ballet class to help plan this year's recital

Some of our favorite MKs came to visit this week. We had a hair salon, store, puppet shows, hide and seek, snuggles and so much more! Shout out to all of Brinley's Southeastern University fans :)

Why can't I just eat real food?!

9 full months later, the stroller drama continues....she obviously needs sooo much "support"

Two of my favorite people ever

Finally, a picture of Brinley's new toes! Dr A did a fantastic job and it is healing very well.
